Blog Neglect & Word of the Day #55

My poor blog is looking rather unloved, patiently waiting for me under a pile of essays and novels. Hopefully I can remedy this!

Word of the Day #55

monotonous

- adjective

1. dull, tedious and repetitious; lacking in variety and interest

2. (of a sound or utterance) lacking in variation in tone or pitch

Really I chose this because I noticed the word looks like its meaning, like visual onomatopoeia. Too many ‘o’s make a monotonous word. (Yes I realise I am a complete word geek.)
